MetVetNYC
Dr. Cary Nulton has been practicing veterinary medicine in New York City for the past 15 years, bringing caring and compassionate veterinary services to your NYC house or apartment. Dr. Nulton and her assistant, Kimberly Noyd, provide high quality, personalized dog and cat medical care. As one of her many services, Dr. Nulton offers pet euthanasia in the comfort of your own home for residents of New York City.
Because of the special bonds we create with our pet companions, the human mode of burial or cremation is a natural way to respect and remember our pet’s unconditional love and devotion. Opting for cremation can provide a way to keep your pet near you and also allows you to bury or scatter your beloved friend’s ashes in a favorite place.
Forest Rest Memorial Park in Glastonbury, Connecticut
Our burial partner is Forest Rest Memorial Park, central Connecticut's first private cemetery for pets, established in 1977. Located on gently sloping land surrounded by 3,000 acres of forest, the wooded terrain is accented by great pines, mountain laurel, numerous oaks, and clusters of beech trees. Dogwood, witch hazel, azalea, and many flowering evergreen shrubs enhance the forest atmosphere with their color. Walkways and seating areas are carpeted by shredded mulch and gravesites rest in the natural forest floor surrounded by a bed of pachysandra.
Internments in the Pine and Oak Sections are provided with the opening and closing service, a casket-vault, ground cover, and a granite memorial marker that will be inscribed in the way that you choose. The service may be customized to suit your taste and individual needs. Visitors are welcome each and every day between sunrise and sunset.
There is a quote carved into a large rock at the entrance to Forest Rest Memorial Park that is very fitting for those that rest here:
Near this spot are deposited the remains of one who possessed Beauty without Vanity, Strength without Insolence, Courage without Ferocity, and all of the Virtues of Man without his Vices. — Lord Byron
